Valentine's Day and Bonge's

(Pardon the almost two week late post on Valentine's Day. The flu invaded last week and blogging was just about the last thing on my mind...ok, maybe eating was right there, too.)

Jake and I spent a terribly romantic Valentine's Day at White Castle this year. No joke, this is the first year we've been able to get reservations! We noshed on a nacho and cheese appetizer, little burgers, and fries, all by the light of an electric candle. The fake roses and cupid cut-outs set the mood perfectly. :) So fun, though. Definitely a Heart Day we will always remember!

One of our winter traditions is dinner at Bonge's Tavern outside of Anderson. We made our annual trip last weekend. They always have the most interesting dishes, and you know it's going to be GOOD. I had goat cheese stuffed chicken and Jake had shark. Yep, SHARK! We always look forward to this dinner. It's such a cozy place with good memories

Love does.

"...it becomes clear that we need to stop plotting the course and instead just land the plane on our plans to make a difference by getting to the "do" part of faith. That's because love is never stationary. In the end, love doesn't just keep thinking about it or keep planning for it. Simply put: love does."

Happy Heart Day!

Such Gentlemen

Their big Grammy win last night for Album of the Year reminded me why I love this band so much, especially their live show. Mumford & Sons, we will see you again in six months!

Our Favorite Magazines

Some of our favorites we read on a monthly basis. They come highly recommended!

Relevant Magazine. Specifically geared for twentysomething Christians who love music, pop culture, and social justice.

Kinfolk Magazine. Chock full of essays about food, travel, and the importance of creating a community of family and friends. It's kind of a Hipster's dream magazine.

gameinformer. Nerdy video game magazine that Husband likes.

Country Living Magazine. Lots of decorating ideas including flea market and vintage store finds. Right up my alley.

Midwest Living magazine. Recipes, decorating ideas, and travel recommendations throughout the Midwest. We actually planned our Louisville trip around their recommendations a few months back.

Now get reading!
