Columbus Concert Weekend

Waaay back in May, Jake and I traveled to Columbus, OH to see each of our favorite bands play a show together: House of Heroes and Five Iron Frenzy. I hadn't seen HOH in years, and this was my first time seeing FIF. Both were so fun! The crowd was a little older because of the bands, which was enjoyable as well. It was neat to see entire families with little kids in noise-canceling headphones enjoying the concert along with mom and dad.

We decided to make a weekend out of the concert and hit some of our favorite places in Columbus the next day. Breakfast at North Market (best waffles EVER), lunch at North Star, ice cream at Jeni's, and dinner at Basil. We did some shopping as well; our favorite by far was Tiger Tree. Can't wait to go back soon!

Thursday Music Post: Golden Youth

Jake usually does the Thursday Music Post, but he's away at camp with his youth group this week. Plus, I know that he would approve of my choice. :)

Golden Youth just came out with their new album "Quiet Frame; Wild Light" at the end of May. They are on Davy Baysinger's (lead singer of Bleach) label SloSpeak, so they already get bonus points from me. It's a fun, happy album just in time for summer.

Listen and enjoy!

Letting Love Photo Shoot

Letting Love had a photo shoot with Pretty Pear Photography this past week. It was so fun to be a part of! However, carrying those heavy church pews in the second picture out into a field was not so fun. Ah, the pains you go through for a great picture. :) I can't wait to see what LaRisha comes up with. Here's a little sneak peek:

Croquet

Sometimes we learn how to play croquet in our backyard. And sometimes we find out that croquet is a bit more complicated than we expected...
