Van's Bridal Shower

Van is getting married next month! I had the pleasure of helping out at her bridal shower this past weekend. We had absolutely beautiful weather and were able to host everything out in the fresh air. We went with a travel theme, complete with globes, maps, and pictures of Van and Greg from their trip to Vietnam (also where they became engaged!). She had a great turn out for her shower, and we all enjoyed celebrating our wonderful friend. I can't wait until the wedding in June!

Pho With Friends

My friend and former Hanover roomie, Van, is originally from Vietnam. Although I've had dinner at her house a few times, I've never really had a Vietnamese restaurant experience until yesterday. Jake and I met Van and Greg at Egg Roll Number One (yes, that seriously is the name of the restaurant) to try some authentic Vietnamese pho. Pho is basically a huge bowl of broth with rice noodles, meat, and different herbs. We loved it! However, I still have not mastered chopsticks. Those little guys are very tricky. Van actually leaves for a month-long trip to Vietnam next week, so she'll have a lot more where this came from. Thanks for a wonderful experience, roomie! I have a feeling we'll have pho again soon.

Wine and Canvas

Last night we met up with my good friends Linds and Van to take advantage of our Groupon to Wine and Canvas. We went to their studio and an artist took us step by step on how to paint one of her paintings. Who knew we were so talented, right?

Brugge Brasserie

To celebrate the beginning of summer, I met up with my two good friends (and bridesmaids!), Miss Lindsey and Miss Van. They always find the coolest places to eat in Indianapolis, and today was no exception. We headed to Brugge Brasserie in Broadripple. Any Hipsters or Foodies in the crowd probably know this area of Indy already. I ordered a chicken sandwich with mozzarella and pesto, and frites (fries), which came with all kinds of dipping sauces, none of which were ketchup. How awesome is that?! The food was delicious, the catch up (not ketchup) session with friends was much-needed. Ladies, we WILL do this again soon. Especially since I-465 into Indy doesn't seem like such a scary monster anymore. :)
