Bike Ride

Dad has been talking about this amazing bike trail along the Ohio River in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for a while now. We finally found a time to explore it tonight. We had beautiful view of the river and tree covered pathways for about eight miles of trails. We did have a few bike chain problems, loose handlebars, and I may or may not have stopped traffic trying to get across the road in a casino parking lot. Oopsie. In the end, I was a very happy (and sweaty) bike rider!

Notice Dad's steering wheel bike? He had it made just like the one he had as a kid.

Bike Ride

I took a very nice bike ride last night around Morristown. I waved at neighbors, watched the little guys in the park at soccer practice, and enjoyed the sunshine. It was a little glimpse of summer, and I loved it. I'm excited to tackle all of those little projects and goals I have planned in the coming months (including riding my bike more!).

Back Home Again

We're back from our whirlwind tour of Michigan! We had a wonderful trip. I'll be sharing lots of pictures in the coming days.

I also celebrated the big 2-6 over our trip. That just was a little harder to swallow than 25. I'm in a different age box now! I know I'm still young, but it's really hitting me how far removed I am from my days at Hanover. But! I still have quite a bit of kid left. Case in point, my favorite birthday present.

How can you beat a shiny red bike? I tried it out today and I love it. Especially the basket. I see many rides in my future this summer!
